Governor Reports
Governor's Survey Summary
The Governors asked parents and carers to complete a survey when they attended the recent parent consultations at the school, to better understand how we are doing. We are delighted to have received a high response rate (some 146 families), providing us with lots of high-quality data and enabling us to know what parents really value, and where we need to do better.
The Governors are discussing with the headteacher the wider feedback from the survey. At this time, I wanted to share with you the summary data (below) which, I am sure you will agree, is very positive overall.
Your comments were very helpful and we cannot thank you enough for taking the time and trouble to record your thoughts. There was lots of praise for the school and staff but you also highlighted a number of areas that would benefit from being reviewed. Work has already started on these. Two major themes which emerged related to (a) the accuracy and timeliness of communications from the school and (b) whether the school could provide more to parents so they can better support their children's learning at home. The Governors have asked school leaders to investigate these, as well as other less prominent, but no less important, issues that were raised.
We hope that you will notice improvements quickly, although we recognise that getting things absolutely right for every parent may take time. We are wholly committed to being the best we can possibly be and, to that end, we welcome your feedback and are genuinely willing to learn and to improve.
